Ashton just had an event there on 4/24/09 with great deals . also last year that cigar shop was picked as one of the stops for the CRA (cigar rights of america)with the list of people attending like a who's who in the cigar industry . litto gomez , rocky patel, tim ozenger, nick perdomo ,and pete johnson. The owner will be opening up a new shop 25 minuets south of 8 to 8 with aprox. 10,000 square foot of cigar space on 55th street , west of willow springs road. I havent heard of a name yet, but I do know they will have a private club in the basement. with only elevator access .Mike the owner of 8 to 8 has always been a gracious host with the knowledge of cigars he has always lead me to the cigar that matches my taste.Hope to see all of the chicagoland cigar smokers this summer at the opening of this new shop in countryside Illinoispypefidr597https://www.blogger.com/profile/09092444427963563633noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12082312.post-30880891803747884222008-02-26T16:04:00.000-06:002008-02-26T16:04:00.000-06:008 to 8 Cigars has not apparently lost its luster, ...8 to 8 Cigars has not apparently lost its luster, I was a frequent guest there from 2002-2003 until I relocated to Georgia. Mike the Owner is a first class guy and I spent hours there. I remeber the smaller location they use to have next door, then relocated to the now bigger one. I was fortunate to get to spend alot of time there before I left. I miss the place.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12082312.post-69658502084853562992008-01-26T19:36:00.000-06:002008-01-26T19:36:00.000-06:00this is a truly excellent cigar shop. They have a couple of nice comfy sofas and a comfy chair and some tables. Also, soda, coffee etc. Also, they are only two blocks from Lunar Brewing, which makes some very good micro brew. I highly recommend this cigar shop.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12082312.post-90162298921154674822007-06-05T19:16:00.000-06:002007-06-05T19:16:00.000-06:00I agree with you, 8 to 8 Cigars should not be miss...I agree with you, 8 to 8 Cigars should not be missed. It is the only cigar store in the Chicagoland area (including the downtown shops) that I will now go to. Mike the owner has everything you need including the best brands of smokes available (at a great price too!) Mike does have a vast knowledge of what cigars he sells as well as of the cigar industry as a whole. Check this store out. You won't be disappointed.Fidel67https://www.blogger.com/profile/08824245741425076610noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12082312.post-9189956808955086712007-05-05T15:53:00.000-06:002007-05-05T15:53:00.000-06:00I go to East Chicago on a regular basis to the cas...I go to East Chicago on a regular basis to the casino boats, wish it was a little closer.
